Lovely Ladies Day

Today Daniel and I had Camilla, Charmaine and baby Seren over for lunch. Daniel and Seren are quite the pair! Daniel is 5 weeks older than Seren, and about 3 times as big! Seren's a little darling! These photos are quite funny, they do look like they are having a 'tickle fight'.
This week we also said goodbye to Grandma, but will see her again soon in Townsville in 5 weeks time.

There's alot going on!

Daniel has been a fairly contented baby, but unfortunately he's just been diagnosed with reflux. Much of our days are spent dealing with the washing and mopping up the mess! Despite that he has been quite happy. He is now on medication for the reflux which seems to be helping. In addition to that it looks like he will have to go to being formula fed, unfortunately my milk supply isn't good and he's a very hungry boy. There's been some tears from both of us but it will be for a happier baby in the end.
This week Grandma Val returned from her trip to Kilcoy to visit her good friend Cheryl. We also went to Joseph's christening which was a big day out. Daniel is enjoying his tummy time although in these photos it's a little hard to see. He is also becoming quite the chatter box, what he's saying we have no clue, but he babbles away at anything, animate or inanimate, even the blinds on his windows have had a good talking to.

Save me Obi-Wan!

There had to be a Star Wars reference somewhere, given Daniel is Marshall's son. Marshall thought that Daniel looked like Obi-Wan Kenobi after his bath last night, hmmmm............ We also got this photo with 'Gobi-Wan', a very patient dog!

Funny Face

Daniel is fascinated with his mouth at the moment inparticular his tongue. He's constantly poking it out, rolling it round etc. When going to sleep Daniel will position himself as shown in the photo. He twirls his hair and sucks his fingers furiously!

Loving His Feet

In the last few weeks Daniel has been playing with his feet, this makes change time rather interesting. I guess when your legs are so long it's easier to get a hold of them.
Going to sleep is quite a sight, he doesn't know whether to suck his fingers or hold his toes, no doubt the day will arrive soon when he'll be sucking his toes!

Happy Birthday Benjamin!

March is a big month of birthdays! Marshall's was on the 11th, Amanda's was the 5th, and Benjamin's was the 14th. Amanda and Nick held a birthday party for Benjamin and all the family came along. Amanda also took time out to take some family photos for us, we're looking forward to seeing them.

New Farm Park

Last weekend we went to New Farm Park with Jane, Al, Madelyn, Lachlan, Belinda, Scott, Lucinda and Hugh. It was a lovely afternoon, the babies had a great time lying on the blankets and staring at the trees.

He's not always happy

Unfortunately Daniel isn't always a happy placid baby, he does have his moments when he is very UNHAPPY, as demonstrated by this photo!

Byron Bay Day Trip

This week we took our Canadian friends Shauna and her mum Sharon to Cabarita and Byron Bay. Unfortunately the weather was terrible. Daniel did get to Cape Byron, but was nearly blown away! Luckily Nana had a good hold of him. We ate lunch at the Byron Bay Pub, the ladies drank wine while Daniel had byo'd his! Daniel looks very handsome in his 'cheeky monkey' shirt, thanks Jane, Al, Madelyn and Lachlan!

Weekend activities

Daniel had another busy weekend. We visited Mel, Stu and Hamish in their new house, Hamish is quite taken with Daniel and wanted us to translate, "what is that baby boy saying?". Daniel has also adopted a new sleeping position, which involves sucking two fingers. He usually combines this with playing with his hair with his other hand but not this day when the photo was taken. He also discovered TV today, might need to get him away from that! As you can see he was very interested in it.

Coming to get you Thomas Seymour!

Daniel's sizing up to take on Thomas! He has some catching up to do but will get there.

Day of Visiting

Yesterday was a busy day in the life of Daniel. We generally spend most days at home (as we only have one car) but yesterday we were out and about! We saw Great Nana in the morning, then went to visit our good friends and partners in 'magic' Marina and Joseph. Joseph is about 7 weeks older than Daniel, but they are about the same height! Marina and I had a running joke during our pregnancies that our babies would be magic, the most perfect babies ever to be. They were to be incredibly gifted, smart, developmentally superior; we were hoping they would solve the issues of global warming and the SE Qld water crisis in their first year so we could sit back and play ladies! Well they are pretty good babies, with their moments of magic-ness but we are still waiting for the issues to be solved! Get a move on lads!
Daniel is wearing Number 8, this is for NASCAR Driver Dale Enhardt Junior (this outfit was a gift from my crazy friend Julie in Tennessee) Marina pointed out in the Chinese community it would be a very lucky outfit, red with and 8 on it, all considered lucky!
It was interesting trying to get two babies to be still long enough for a photo. As you can see they are good looking boys!
In the afternoon we went into the city to my work, there was an afternoon tea on for Trish and Craig who are leaving the office. Daniel was somewhat of a hit, as you could well imagine with an office which is predominatly female! He was good up until the speeches started.......... we had to leave early.
