Visit to see Karen and Jessica

Today we went to visit Karen and little Jessica. Jessica was quite taken with Daniel and wanted to give him lots of kisses.

Daniel has ben well known for his hair (present from birth) as you can see from this photo he's loosing it! His bed is covered in fine hairs, as is his bath, so we'l be waiting to see if it changes colour....... or if any grows back!

Busy Weekend....

Daniel has had a busy week and busy weekend. During the week he went to see Nana at Cabarita. There he discovered the 'joy of sleep' and was really hapy for it! Luckily for mum it seems to have continued since coming home :)

This weekend has been busy. Camilla came to visit on Friday afternoon. Today (Sunday) we had a visit from Marcia, then Auntie Amanda, Uncle Nick and cousins Harrison and Benjamin and Grandpa came to visit. For lunch he went to see Great Nana, Nana, Great Aunties Barbara and Janet and second cousin Natalie! It's great nana's 81st birthday on Tuesday so we celebrated it early.

Happy Chinese New Year!

This morning Daniel went to his first Yum Cha (well first since being born, he went a number of times while in-utero!) A number of friends were there, Bron, Rose, Kym, Kelly, Lisa, Nathan, Darren, Melissa, Stu and Hamish, as well as Mum and Dad.

Daniel is sleeping in his sleeping bag at night, it's alot easier as he tends to kick off the covers.

Two months has come and gone

Daniel is now 9 weeks old, he had his 2 month immunizations on Monday, needless to say it wasn't an enjoyable experience! Daniel has been very busy. Saturday he had morning tea with Janelle, Melissa, Kalina, Lara and baby Grace, then he had a visit from Christine, Bronwen and Rose. Sunday was a bit quieter, with a drive to the bayside and a visit with Kara and Tony. On Tuesday we went and visited Jane, Madelyn and Lachlan, their friend Marianne and Lucca were also there.

Daniel is naturally a very long baby, currently 65cm! He is well over the 97th percentile for his height, his weight is sitting on the 50th percentile. He's a long streak of a child! Here are some recent photos.

Mornings are Daniel's best times, he love sto come into mum and dad's bed, he loves to kick and 'talk' he's very happy in the mornings.

Albert thinks he's a baby..........

This is Albert the cat in Daniel's rocker chair. Poor Albert. For those who don't know Albert's history he has been with Julie for 11 years this October. Originaly from Alberta in Canada, Albert has lived with Julie in Edmonton Canada, Memphis & Bristol Tennessee USA, Gold Coast Australia, and in Brisbane. He has moved a total of 13 times in his life and has adapted quite well. Looks like he's adapting well to having Daniel around as well, not bad for an old dementing cat!

Daniel's been busy

Daniel has been a busy boy! Last week we went and visited Rachel and Jack. Julie and Rachel worked together, and now they each have a handsome boy each! Jack is doing really well with his tummy time, something Daniel's mum will have to start doing (bad OT that she is!).

It's also been very hot, in the morning Gobi and Albert come in to the cool of the bedroom (no they don't sleep there all night!!!) Daniel is being accepted by the dog and the cat. Gobi would like nothing more than to lick Daniel all over and take off with his toys. Albert is dealing with spending nights outside. Albert has given Daniel's hair a lick on occassion.

Daniel went to the coast to see Nana and Poppy. Australia Day, with a big BBQ and lots of friends (Ollie, Christine, Dennis, Marcia, Tanya, Ranier, Luka, Mia, Melissa, Stuart, Hamish, Jane, Al, Madelyn, Lachlan, Amanda, Nick, Harrison and Benjamin!!!!!!!!). Frances stopped by for a quick cuddle. This time next year Daniel will be able to enjoy the pool like his cousin Benji did (riding on Poppy's back). Daniel spent most of his time at the beach sleeping and eating!

The latest photo was taken this morning at 5am! Daniel decided that 4am would be a great time to get up and as you can see by the photo he's bright eyed ready for the day, too bad mum isn't!
