Coolum Break

We have just got back from a few days at Coolum. Mel, Stu, Hamish and Annabelle also came for the holiday. We all had a good time, although as you would know holidaying with small children is far from a getaway!!! The children played well and the adults actually did get to eat one civilized meal together under the stars.

Coolum lots of wild kangaroos, we were lucky enough to come across a couple, the female had a baby in her pouch.

I got to play around a bit with my camera at Coolum, too bad I didn't bring the battery charger to get more photos!
Daniel now thinks Kate's quite nice, so he does like showing his love.

Grandma, Daniel and Kate

Grandma and Grand-dad came to stay for 2 weeks, Daniel really enjoyed having Grandma at his disposal and I enjoyed having the extra help!

Daniel and Ju Ju

As a child Marshall had Ju Ju the Dragon, Daniel has now decided Ju Ju is his new favourite friend. He sleeps with him and plays with him.

A Day at the Museum

A few weeks ago we went to the Museum. Daniel had a good time looking at all the exhibits. He was fascinated with the animal specimens.

Kate, 3 months old

I can hardly believe how fast things have gone this time around. Kate is 3 months old! She's doing well and is generally a really settled baby (I say generally, because she still has her really unsettled days). She is sleeping well at night so the occassional bad day isn't that bad. She's happy and the poor thing seems to look alot like me.

Cabarita with Harrison

Harrison joined us at Cabarita for a few days. Daniel loved having a playmate although I think Harrison found Daniel a bit wearing at times. Harrison brought his bike along and Daniel desperately wanted to ride it. The boys also had fun eating watermelon as you can see.

Working

Daniel is obsessed with 'working'. Grandma and Grand-dad gave Daniel and Kate a swing set. The swing set had to be assembled and Daniel was determined to "assist". Since that time he always wants to work. He tries to help out as much as possible. Here you can see him building my new computer with Marshall and him sweeping off the new slide (I like the look of concentration)

Bothering the Barretts

On Friday I took the children over to visit Marina, Joseph and Baby Elizabeth. Marina took a photo of the girls. It reminded me of a photo I have of the boys, Daniel was about the same age as the girls are. I think it's clear to see who's related to who!
