Seven Months Old

We made it to seven months, Daniel is now enjoying rolling and rocking on his knees. He's finding lots of different things funny which is lovely. When Daniel wakes up he comes into bed with us, as you can see he enjoys this.

Goodbye Shauna and Lee :-(

After living and working here for 6 months our Canadian friends Shauna and Lee leave next weekend. We couldn't let them go without trying a steak at the Norman Hotel. Daniel had an 'off' weekend, could be teeth??? so he looks far from happy.

Where's the Water in Wivenhoe?

This morning the four of us (Gobi) included drove out to Wivenhoe Dam. (For our overseas friends that's where Brisbane's water supply comes from).
Currently the dam is sitting below 18% which is a big worry. 'Back in the day' when I used to row, Wivenhoe hosted all the regattas for the Brisbane area. The inlet where the rowing course was, is a dry dirt bed. Unfortunately we were unable to get to the rowing course to have a closer look. You can see from the photos where the water level once was.
This bottom photo is at the boat ramp, obviously it was built to cope with variations in the dam level as it's quite long. The water level would now be another 20metres away from the end of the boat ramp. I took this from the bottom of the ramp looking up to where Marshall and Daniel are sitting (you can see them in the mid left of the picture).
Apart from the doom and gloom of no water, it was a lovely morning. Gobi had alot of fun. The morning sun was very warming as were the Fernvale Bakery Pies!!!!

Daniel can now roll from his back to his front and back again. I think it's taken him a while because there's a lot of him to move.

Bath Time

Daniel now likes to sit up and play when he has a bath. He's getting bigger by the day!

More eating exploits

Today Daniel tried a rusk. I didn't think he'd know what to do with it especially given he has no teeth, but from the looks of things it would appear he's figured it out.

Baby it's cold inside

We have had a few cold mornings, I put this hat on Daniel who looks far from amused.
